Where is Mount Mat Than (Phja Piót) Located?
Located in the Danh village, Quoc Toan commune, Tra Linh district, Cao Bằng province, Mount Mat Than is part of the Thang Hen tourism complex, which lies within the Cao Bằng Non-Nuoc Geopark. The mountain is surrounded by vast green valleys and hills, creating a majestic and serene natural environment.

How to Get to Mount Mat Than
Mount Mat Than is about 32 kilometers from Cao Bằng city center. To reach the mountain, take National Road KH-BG for about 7 km, then turn onto National Route 3, follow the signs for DT205, and continue for another 6 km until you find signs pointing to the mountain. Along the way, you'll pass other tourist spots such as the Dong Hoang Ha noodle dish, Ma Phuc Pass, and the Thang Hen ecological tourism area. Riding a motorbike is the most convenient way to explore this area, as the narrow roads make it difficult for larger vehicles to navigate.

The most spectacular sight is during sunrise when the first rays of light pass through the "eye" of the mountain, casting a radiant halo over the landscape.
The area is also home to the stunning Namt Tra Waterfall, which adds to the area's charm with its pristine, untouched beauty. During the rainy season, the waterfall flows gracefully like silk over the green hills, creating a peaceful, picturesque setting perfect for relaxation and reflection.
