The Truth About House No. 138 Chau Van Liem (Ha Ky)

Recently, there have been many posts online talking about this spooky and secretive ancient house, house no. 138 Chau Van Liem in District 5. Some say that there was a fierce monster living there during the Qing dynasty with a very long demon tusk, ready to appear and threaten anyone with bad intentions who wants to explore around or harm the house. Others say that the house has been abandoned for many years and is full of heavy negative energy that makes anyone who visits feel scared and creepy. However, I would like to clarify the curiosity of everyone during this time and correct the whole truth in this article.

The predecessor of this house used to be the residence of a general in the old regime, who was a Vietnamese of Chinese origin and had great contributions to the country at that time. After he passed away and the political and economic situation in the country became chaotic, coupled with the liberation of the country after the war, this house was handed over to the mother of Mrs. Ngo Thanh Hien, and she is currently the owner of house no. 138 Chau Van Liem in District 5.

Not long ago, the state had a plan to relocate some houses in areas along Hai Thuong Lang Ong Street and Chau Van Liem Street to clear the way and expand the road for vehicles to pass through. However, for some reason, after they had relocated and expanded a section of the road on Hai Thuong Lang Ong Street, the state stopped its activities and did not continue to relocate houses or clear the way anymore. Therefore, all houses located on Chau Van Liem Street were planned, leading to many problems with repair and construction for those houses.

At first, Mrs. Hien also intended to demolish the whole house to rebuild it, but since house no. 138 Chau Van Liem is planned, the People's Committee did not grant permission for the reconstruction. If they demolished and rebuilt the house but in the future, there was a plan, the compensation for the homeowner would be quite high. Therefore, they only allowed temporary repairs and lived there for a while.

Mrs. Hien has also spent a lot of money to run for a construction permit, but it was not successful, so she had to give up. After a period of time, feeling the situation was not very favorable and the interior of the house had deteriorated seriously, they were afraid that the walls of the house would collapse if they stayed there for a long time, and if they really repaired it, it would only be temporary. Therefore, they decided to rent it out for others to use, but no one wanted to rent because of the spooky rumors surrounding the house.

In conclusion, there is no evidence that there is a fierce monster living in this house, nor is it true that the house is haunted by negative energy. The truth is that the house is planned, leading to many difficulties in repair and construction, and the owner cannot demolish or rebuild it without a permit from the People's Committee.
