Itinerary

Our journey will start at 7:30 am. It may takes 2 hours and 40 minutes to get to Black Virgin Mountain. Our tour guides will buy all tickets for us. Then, we have to walk to chairlift tram in order to get on the mountain. Once getting on the top, we will visit a famous pagoda there. Black Virgin Pagoda is known as the most sacred one on the mountain. Horizontal Buddha-lying Statue will be our next destination before lunch. When it become hotter, we will stop for having lunch in a restaurant. We may take a short break after the meal. Then, we come to the Caodaism Temple before getting off the mountain and going back to HCMC.

Caodaism Temple

Being the largest temple of Cao Dai religion, the Caodaism Temple attracts millions of visitors and pilgrims annually.

The Temple was built in 1933 and officially inaugurated in 1955. It has a unique architectural design combining Eastern and Western philosophy, showing the synthesis of many spiritual elements in a harmonious way. The first impression for visitors when coming here is the image of the Holy Eye on the front of the Temple - a radiant eye - the sacred symbol of Caodaism.

Over three-quarters of last century, the Caodaism Temple has become a pilgrimage site for about five million followers across the planet and is an attractive spiritual tourist destination for travelers all over the world.

Black Virgin Pagoda

Black Virgin Pagoda (Ba Den Pagoda) on Black Virgin Mountain or Van Son Mountain is one of the most famous temples in Tay Ninh. This is a spiritual destination that you should come when you get there.

As it is lying in the middle of the mountain so that the way to go to the temple takes a while. There are three ways to get up and down the mountain: walk, chairlift or a unique sliding system.

This temple has existed for more than 300 years. It was a small shrine at first, then it was renovated. Ba Den Pagoda is associated with the story of the Holy Mother (Black Lady).

Ba Den Pagoda was built in 1996 and was completed in 1997 with a harmonious combination of old pagodas in the country.

Local people, as well as the visitors, often come here for pilgrimage mainly in January and holidays on May 5.6 lunar year.
