Itinerary:

At 7:30 AM, our English speaking driver team will pick you up at your hotel or at a specified place. We will have breakfast on the way. Our first stop is a chocolate factory. This is Kimmy’s Chocolate Factory - a factory founded by an Indian - Vietnamese man named Bui Durassamy. We will see the chocolate-making process directly there. Besides, you can buy some chocolate bars as gifts for your friends. Next, you will have a chance to try a new means of transportation - motorboat. This is the most convenient way to move when you are in Mekong Delta. After trying motorboat, we will go to a trade village where locals show you to how to make coconut candy - a specialty of Ben Tre Province - as well as some coconut products. After that, we will visit a Bee Farm. This is a great opportunity for turning into a “honey farmer”. You will also be showed how to raise bee and take its honey. We are also served honey lemonade by locals. And to become a part of Mekong Delta, we will learn how to row boat on the river. We make sure that you will be fascinated by the first time trying this. Then, we will ride bicycles along a small village to enjoy the fresh air as well as the peaceful feelings of the countryside and join the daily lives of locals. When it’s about time for lunch, all of us will take part in a cooking class, listening to Southern Amateur music, enjoying our lunch with elephant ear fish (but if you want to try other dishes we can change the menu).

Coconut Candy

Ben Tre coconut candy has been a famous specialty of the province. Once referring to Ben Tre, visitors may be impressed by delicious coconut candy that cannot be counterfeited.

Due to the demand and conditions for economic development, the production of coconut candy was expanded beyond Mo Cay District. A coconut candy production village was formed in Ward 7 - Ben Tre. This is a destination for visitors to explore and try products made from coconut.

At Chau Thanh Ecotourism Center, Ben Tre City, there are traditional coconut candy production sites for visitors to witness, as well as directly involved in coconut candy making process.

Motorboat

Returning to Vietnam after more than 40 years of "trekking" in the world, Mr. Samy Bui was introduced to buy a piece of land in Tien Giang province by relatives. With a capital of nearly VND 6 billion, he started building workshops, assembled chocolate machines by linking what he saw and learned abroad or at home.

Having graduated from food processing major and mechanical engineering firm, Mr. Samy Bui has mastered the process of turning cocoa into chocolate. Since then, he decided to build a chocolate factory and became a cocoa bean collector from farmers and create the "made in Vietnam" chocolate of the. With the capital which was the money intended to support the rest of life, the "entrepreneurial chocolate old man" officially began to build his brand.
